"TP Master" is the short name many players use for Teen Patti Master, and "TP Master APK" is one of the most common ways people search for its installation file. The short name also causes confusion, because several other apps use "TP", "Teen Patti" or "Master" in their names. This page sorts out which is which.
TP Master and Teen Patti Master are the same app
When players say TP Master, they almost always mean Teen Patti Master, the Android card-game app built around Teen Patti. There is no separate app from the same developer called TP Master. If a download page offers "TP Master APK" as a different app from Teen Patti Master, check carefully what you are actually getting.
To confirm what you installed, open Settings > Apps and tap the app. The name shown at the top and the version number at the bottom tell you what is on your phone.
Look-alike names to watch for
Teen Patti is a hugely popular game, so dozens of apps use similar names and icons. Some are legitimate apps from other developers. Some are fakes copying a popular name. A few patterns deserve extra care:
- Names with extra words: "TP Master Pro", "TP Master Mod", "Teen Patti Master VIP", "Teen Patti Master Unlimited". These are not the genuine app.
- Slightly misspelled names: "Teen Pati Master", "Teen Patti Mastar", "3 Pati Master". Spelling tricks are common in fake apps.
- The same icon with a different name: icons are easy to copy. Do not use the icon to identify an app.
- Apps that call themselves "official site": an app or website that has to insist it is official often is not.
Similar card apps
Some players like to compare Teen Patti Master with other card apps. The apps below are ones we are often asked about. We list them for information only. We do not run them and cannot vouch for their payouts, support or fairness. Every check on our APK safety page applies to each one: official source only, Play Protect scan, and no SMS, contacts or accessibility permissions.
Before you install any of them, remember two things.
- Online money games are banned across India under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, and banks and payment apps are barred from processing their payments. We do not recommend adding money to any of these apps.
- Several apps on one phone multiply the risk. Each extra APK is another set of permissions and another account that scammers can target. Choose one if you want to play, and uninstall the rest.
How these apps differ from each other
Card apps of this type are usually built on similar game engines and look alike. The differences tend to be in three places:
| What to compare | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Who publishes it | A named, contactable developer is easier to hold to account than an anonymous one |
| Which games it focuses on | Some lean on Teen Patti, some on Rummy, some on slot-style quick games. Luck-only games are where players lose fastest |
| Permissions it asks for | The fewer the better. Anything beyond internet and notifications deserves a question |
Which one should you choose?
If your aim is to learn and enjoy Teen Patti, you only need one app, and the one with free-chip tables and a clear rules screen is the best choice. If you are tempted by an app because of a large bonus figure on a banner, remember that bonus money always comes with wagering conditions, and money play is banned in India.
Frequently asked questions
Is TP Master the same as Teen Patti Master?
Yes. TP Master is the short name players use for Teen Patti Master. The APK file and the app are the same.
Is TP Master APK safe?
The genuine Teen Patti Master APK from the official page is the real app. Files labelled "TP Master Mod", "Pro" or "VIP" are copies. Check the source, file size and permissions before installing.
What is Yono in app names?
"Yono" appears in many card and casual game app names, and some sites group these apps as "Yono games". It does not refer to a single developer. Treat each Yono-named app as a separate app and check it on its own.
Can I use one account across different Teen Patti apps?
No. Each app has its own accounts and its own server. Chips or progress in one cannot move to another.
Why do so many Teen Patti apps look the same?
Many are built on similar game templates. Similar screens do not mean they come from the same company, so check each app's publisher and permissions separately.
